Hise Family Home Session
Talk about a sweet family…these folks are just that. How do I get so lucky? Seriously. I think it’s because
I’ve known Mom, Shana, for a couple of years as our kiddos go to school together and we’re both quite active with volunteering there. I’ve also had the opportunity to get to know her through her daughter’s dancing school, Performing Arts Conservatory (PAC), where I’ve been lucky enough to photograph several of their shows. I didn’t know her boys or husband well, but had a bit of opportunity to get to know them during their shot. I think that the boys came out of their shell for me. I’m sure they ask mom, “Who’s that crazy photographer lady?” after I leave. I’m always trying my best to get them to crack so that I can get genuine smiles.
Shana chose her home as the backdrop as they, literally, JUST moved into. It was perfect! Everything from the large yard to the spacious front entryway. We were able to get a few set-ups to showcase the family in their environment. As I’ve said before, I love photographing families at their home. Everyone is so much more relaxed and can quickly retreat back to what they were doing just before the shoot. It saves the family a lot of time, too…especially in this day and age where a lot of the day is spent in the car shuttling kids here and there.
I am so in love with these photos as it really shows the fun and relaxed family as they are. It’s a little posed with some gentle direction to make for fun moments. I hope that they’ll enjoy these photos for many years to come. Thank you trusting me with your family photos, Hise Family.
