Meet Beelee!

We’ve had our ups and downs with this girl, but she’s a pretty good pup. And she loves a snuggle! She was rescued from the Marion County Humane Society and we found out that we were the second family to adopt her. She was previously returned because she made too much noise. (She’s a puppy!) Her bark is quite raspy and she’s missing some bottom teeth. My guess is that she was badly abused by the first folks that adopted her. And I think that she was abused by a male as it took her a while to warm up to my husband…even running away from him as he was loading her up into the truck one day. She went missing for 3-4 days! That was crazy! Anyway, that’s “Bee.”

I don’t know that there’s anything special to mention about this photo other than pet photography is its own ballgame. There are some fantastic pet photographers out there like The Dog Photographer and Photohound and these fantastic underwater images by Seth Casteel. Perhaps I should look into donating time to the Humane Society? I’ve often read about photographers who help by taking presentable photos of the orphans that say, “Take me home. We can be the best of friends!” Hmmm…
