Quick. Find Alex!

That’s my boy, cooking up a storm in the morning with the play kitchen that Santa made! Apparently you need mushrooms, cake batter, celery, tuna and chicken to make a cake! And grease or wax to hold it all together. I think we need a few cooking lessons! Gross!

So, I bumped up the ISO due to the low light, but created a bunch of noise in doing so. I knew that as I made the settings on my camera. If I wanted to capture him at play at that time with the low light situation, a sacrifice would have to be made. Heavy processing would have helped to disguise the noise…adding more dust & noise with a black & white conversion. It’s not what I was going for though. And besides, I’m relying on the bright blue-ish morning light to highlight Alex and draw your eye to him upon first glance. It works, right? This may not be frame-worthy, but it captures our day-to-day and those are the memories that I want to hold on to.

Here’s to delicious cakes without adding tuna, chicken & grease (among others) to the ingredient list!
