365 Day Project | Day 23 | Ocala Photographer
From the time Nicholas was little he has loved to swing. And for more than a year, he has been able to swing by himself and really doesn’t want my help. Well, this swing hangs from a tree limb. Both the length of the rope and the friction of it as it rotates around the limb make for a tough swing. Fortunately, I get asked to push this big guy.
I really like the movement of this photo. We started out going forward and back and pretty quickly he’s rotating in a circle. It looks like I captured him as he was traveling sideways. It also appears that the only parts close to being in focus are his right hand and the rope.
Oh and by the way. I took this with our brand new point and shoot camera on it’s manual setting (f/8 at 1/30 sec.). Neat, right? I wouldn’t substitute this for my DSLR, but it worked in a pinch (I forgot my compact flash cards when I left the house…doh!)
